My name is Alison, and I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. My sessions are online via video call, so you can access therapy in your own home or wherever you would like to talk. I work exclusively with adults aged over 18.
I am a counsellor who specialises in helping neurodivergent adults, and in particular those who are late diagnosed with autism. I was diagnosed with autism at age 45 when I was already a qualified counsellor, and have now also self-diagnosed with ADHD. I offer two counselling options. The first is open-ended therapy, intended for those who know they would like long-term counselling or wish to keep an open mind about how long their counselling should last; the second is a short-term careers counselling option of up to 12 sessions for autistic adults who wish to focus exclusively on this area of their lives. My work with neurodivergent adults has consistently shown me that the world of work can pose great challenges, and it can be very rewarding for clients to make this important area of their lives work better for them.
